Wavenote as a LumeVoice alternative

A dictation app for macOS and Android that strips filler words as you speak and matches the style you have been writing in. iOS and Windows are on a waitlist.

What LumeVoice does better

LumeVoice runs on Android, and Wavenote never will. Filler-word removal is on by default, so the um and the you know are gone before the text lands, custom vocabulary and style memory are in every tier rather than behind an upgrade, and it claims 100+ languages against Wavenote's 22. If you dictate on a phone as much as on a laptop, Wavenote solves half your problem at best.

Where Wavenote is different

  • Dictation runs on the Mac, and makes no network call at all.
  • Wavenote is $4.90 once, after a 48-hour trial. LumeVoice sells a 3-day trial and then charges on every plan, forever.
  • Filler words stay in unless you turn on AI rewriting and ask for them to go.
