The app types what you said. Wavenote+ writes it for you as well: hold the rewriting key and a rambling thought comes out as the email, the Slack message or the bullet points you meant, in wording you set yourself, and you can set different wording for each app. It also speaks one language and writes another, summarises a meeting note, turns what you said into your to-dos, answers questions about your notes, names the one thing to do today against what you said this quarter is for, and drops the device limit. Everything else on this page is already in the $4.90 app, and it stays yours whether or not you subscribe.

If your Mac has an Apple chip and runs macOS 26 or later, yes. Intel Macs are not supported. The first time you pick a language, Wavenote downloads what it needs to hear that language: about 480 MB for English, about 540 MB for Japanese.

The app stays yours and keeps working. What stops is AI rewriting, translation, meeting summaries, to-dos and planning your day. Dictation, file transcription and custom vocabulary carry on, because they run on your Mac.

Yes. The $4.90 is not credited against the subscription, so from that point you would be paying the subscription instead.

Wavenote covers 2 devices, in any mix of Macs and iPhones. Wavenote+ covers every device you own. You can release one yourself from Settings, under Licence.

Dictation and file transcription make no network call at all, on either price. You can check that by turning your wifi off and carrying on. AI rewriting is the one exception: the finished transcript goes out to be rephrased and comes straight back, and nothing along the way keeps a copy.

Your raw transcript is inserted instead. Every failure path does that: no network, a timeout, an expired licence.
